@Myartattacks Martha Diaz uses a medium unlike anything we have seen!

We always encourage our customers to send us pictures of their #stickerbomb projects. Martha Diaz sent us something that blew us away! She had #stickerbombed a mannequin very tastefully! She used a mix of Random Sticker packs and Themed Sticker Packs to get the final product. Check out the final product below along with a few words from the artist herself about the project.

What inspired you to do this?

A few years ago, I purchased a male mannequin to use as a hawk deterrent in my backyard for my little dogs.  He became known as Manny, to family and friends, and soon thereafter, Pedi, a female mannequin followed.  Manny and Pedi took a beating in the elements so I tossed Manny out and brought a dirty and faded Pedi inside the house and started to decoupage her with Wonder Woman comic book pages.  It was so much fun I was hooked on using mannequins as a medium.

A few months after completing Pedi, an egghead mannequin appeared at my door; a gift from a family member that happened to see it at a store liquidation sale.  This mannequin was so impressive I knew I had to do something special with it.  One day, I was scrolling through Instagram and saw an ad for Stickerload.  I pondered the possibility of using stickers for several days.  The ad kept appearing on my feed so I knew then I had to decoupage it using these particular stickers.

How long did the process take?

The process probably took about two to three weeks.  On certain days, I would work on the mannequin for four to five hours at a time.  It took practice adhering the stickers exactly where I wanted to place them and cutting them in just the right places so they would lay flat.  When completed, I varnished the mannequin five times for a sealed look.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I'm a lover of art.  I am self taught in most of the areas of arts and crafts that I create.  I especially love using mixed media and collage as the basis for telling life stories on canvas and artist trading cards.  I am usually working on a project whether it's knitting, crocheting, decoupaging or, in these times, sewing masks.  I am constantly learning new ways to express my creativity to avoid going mad.  You can view a limited sample of my creations at my Instagram @myartattacks.  I will also be opening an Etsy shop by the same name, MyArtAttacks.
